“I say to you today, my friends, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream.”

I Have a Dream (Martin Luther King Jr. August 28, 1963)

This extract from MLK’s speech at the Lincoln Memorial, Washington D.C was so powerful that it is relevant to the struggle of the communities that EITR represents.

During these harsh days of austerity, the fears of Brexit and the rise of the harsher elements of society, we as a society need to pull together and create a difference together in the face of adversity.

Dan wrote the following in tribute to MLK and the struggle of the communities that EiTR is working to create change for:

“I have a dream today, where people can go out without being judged or limited because of their Disability, Mental Health, Chronic and Neurodiverse condition.

I have a dream that we can go out and be ourselves without having to make apologies for being who we are.

I have a dream that we will be able to go to events without fearing that we won’t be able to take part.

Let’s make the dream reality together.”
